Covid-19 Policies and Procedures

From day one, Posabilities has been dedicated to offering a safe space for all students, clients, and patients to feel and be their best. COVID-19 has definitely challenged us in staying true to this mission while continuing to promote individuals and groups in realizing their greatest potentials for health, wellness, and happiness. Still, we are working hard to do our very best! As the current situation evolves, we will continue to evolve with it. At present, to keep our students, clients, patients, and teachers safe, we are following the State of Maine CDC guidelines and taking all recommended precautions. To assure everyone’s safety, before coming to a class or private session, please either use the CDC Coronavirus Self-Checker or ask yourself the questions below.

  1. Have you had a cough or sore throat?
  2. Have you had a fever or do you feel feverish?
  3. Do you have shortness of breath?
  4. Do you have loss of taste or smell?
  5. Have you been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms within the past 14 days?
  6. Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined?

Studio – Yoga

The following policies will be followed for all in studio classes:

  • Students must utilize online registration for class before arriving for class.
  • All indoor classes will be socially distanced – 6 feet between mats.
  • Indoor classes will be limited to no more than 8 people to allow 6 foot socially distancing.
  • Admission to the studio will begin no earlier than 15 minutes before class start.
  • Students and teachers will wear masks upon arrival and throughout the practice until they leave the building.
  • Windows in the studio will be open to the extent that weather allows for air circulation.
  • Students will continue to remove their shoes in the entryway but will have the option to bring their shoes and belongings to their mat and exit through the studio emergency exit at the end of class.
  • We will not have props or mats available for use. You must bring your own props. We will have new & used prop packages available for sale. (We will have bolsters available, but ask that you bring 2 pillow cases to cover your bolster if you choose to use one.)
  • We will have hand sanitizer available and ask you to sanitize your hands upon arrival.
  • Students are encouraged to make their way to their mat as quickly as possible and avoid lingering in socially shared areas.
  • Teachers will not be providing hands-on assists, and as much as possible, remain at the front of the class on their mat.
  • Students may exit via the studio’s emergency exit at the end of class if they would like to decrease congestion upon departure.

Outdoor – Yoga

  • Students must utilize online registration for class before arriving for class.
  • All classes will be socially distanced – 6 feet between mats.
  • We will not have props or mats available for use. You should bring your own props. We will have new & used prop packages available for sale.
  • We will have hand sanitizer available and ask you to sanitize your hands upon arrival.
  • Students are encouraged to make their way to their mat as quickly as possible and follow 6′ social distancing guidelines before, during, and after class.
  • Teachers will not be providing hands-on assists, and as much as possible, remain at the front of the class on their mat.

Clinic – Individual Services

  • Including Physical Therapy, Yoga Therapy, Thai Yoga Massage, and 1:1 movement sessions.
  • Arrival at the clinic should not be more than 5 minutes before the scheduled arrival time. If you arrive earlier, wait in your car, and if we can see you earlier, we will let you know.
  • Patients, clients, and providers must wear face masks throughout their session / visit.
  • Upon entry into the clinic, patients and clients should wash their hands.
  • Providers will follow universal precautions, including hand washing and masking.
  • 6′ physical distancing will be maintained as much as possible and appropriate, though hands-on touch will be provided as appropriate for therapy and Thai Massage sessions.
  • Appointments are spaced 30 minutes apart to allow disinfecting of the area between visits.
  • Posabilities will maintain a list of individuals who have been into the clinic for contact tracing reasons.
  • Telehealth Physical Therapy – If your insurance company is actively covering telehealth physical therapy services, we will gladly “see” you via telehealth.

The following services can be offered remotely via the internet: Private Yoga (1 – 8 students person), Yoga Therapy, 1:1 movement sessions, and Physical Therapy Telehealth (If covered by insurance).
